Hello!
My name is Fred Beecher, and I’ve been in the User Experience field since 1998. In that time I have solved complex problems for clients in an array of different industries, scaled up a large agency design team, started Design Operations teams at Best Buy and Rocket Mortgage, and I’ve trained and mentored hundreds of designers and design leaders at all stages of their careers. Here are a few selected accomplishments I’m particularly proud of.
Rolling out a scalable Skills Framework for designers and researchers at Rocket Mortgage
Creating a fully cross-functional product team to support Best Buy’s design system
Launching a UX Apprenticeship program that made 12 brand-new UX designers
Teaching prototyping at Prime Academy and interaction design at Center Centre
Co-chairing the Interaction Design Education Summit
Developing the first official Axure training program and training over 800 people
Speaking on topics such as prototyping, UX career development, and design education at design conferences all over the world
